Brief Biographical Sketch:
I discovered modular origami during my freshman year of high school and was drawn to it because it combines art and design with science and math. I've also explored glassblowing, blacksmithing, sewing, knitting and other art forms that bridge the gap between science and the humanities. Now, I work as a designer for Innovation: Princeton Journal of Science and Technology, designing infographics and layouts for the magazine. I'm currently in the Integrated Science Program at Princeton and am pursuing certificates in Biophysics and Computer Science. When I'm not doing problem sets, I spend my spare time reading, playing saxophone and just hanging out with friends. I'm looking forward to sharing my love of modular origami! Learn how to make modular origami!
In modular origami, we assemble flat and three-dimensional structures by folding and attaching single units/modules. More than one sheet of paper is used for each creation, allowing for much more complexity than is standard for normal one-sheet origami.
