Brief Biographical Sketch:

Alex Smith is a senior thesis in the Near Eastern Studies Department. He loves Persian and has been taking the language for all four years that he has been at Princeton. However, his interests are not contained to the Near East. He is passionate about art and good design. He finds the simplicity and strength of Chinese ink painting to be enthralling. He spent this past summer working in South Africa at an organization that uses economics to improve health policy. Oh, and he also loves to cook curry and eat every type of food.
