Brief Biographical Sketch:

I was born in Okinawa, Japan and lived there for a total of about 5 years. My dad was in the military, so we moved around a lot. After the 2nd grade I spent most of my life in Southern California. I didn't dance at all in high school, but I wish I did. I was able to immerse myself in a dancing culture when I went to Senegal for Princeton's Novogratz Bridge Year Program. When I came to Princeton's campus, I became heavily involved with Sympoh, Princeton's breakdancing crew. I was president of Sympoh and spent a lot of time improving my own dancing skills and teaching those around me. Sympoh is a no-cut group, so the majority of the members come in with little to no dance experience. I have the capability to teach groups of people with varying levels of dance ability.
