A755: Beatboxing 101 in Splash 2023 (Apr. 22, 2023)

"Boots and Cats" is not where it ends. In fact, the art of beatboxing originally focused on the replication of the entire Roland TR-808 drum machine which enabled the distinct sound of 1980s electronic and hip-hop music. In this one-hour workshop, we will explore the basic sounds (kick drum, pf-snare, outward k-snare, open and closed hi-hats) and put them together in different ways to create simple beats and funky grooves. Everyone is welcome, and no experience is necessary!
